Kealba’s elevated position gives many homes good views, but it also leaves roofs exposed. Westerly winds come across the open plains with little to slow them down, and they hit Kealba’s rooftops directly. Over the years that wind pressure flexes the ridge caps, cracking the mortar beneath and eventually loosening the caps themselves.
