Leaking ceiling, cracked ridge pointing or a roof that is simply worn out? We repair what is broken and restore what is tired on Albion homes, from early Sunshine Estate cottages to post-war brick veneers, with our owner on site for every job.
No Fees. No Obligation. Open 7 Days a Week.
Most Albion homeowners call us for one of two reasons. Something has gone wrong, like a drip in the hallway after a storm, or the roof is looking tired and they want to know whether it is worth saving. Our job is to work out which one you are dealing with and give you a straight answer.
Our Cairnlea base is only minutes away, so we can get up on most Albion roofs quickly. We check every tile, ridge, valley and flashing, take photos, and explain in plain English what needs fixing now and what can wait. If a targeted repair will keep your roof sound for years, that is all we quote. If patching would just be throwing good money after bad, we will show you why a full restoration makes more sense.

Albion has one of the most varied housing mixes in the west. The oldest homes in the east of the suburb date back to H. V. McKay’s Sunshine Estate, and they sit alongside interwar bungalows, 1940s and 1950s weatherboards and later brick-veneer homes. Many of these roofs are still wearing their original terracotta or concrete tiles, and decades of western suburbs weather have worked away at every joint.
Hot northerly days make tiles and mortar expand, cold fronts make them contract, and gusty winds off the open country to the west find any loose ridge cap. Over time that means brittle pointing, tiles that crack or slip, and galvanised valleys that rust through and overflow in a downpour. The first sign is usually a brown stain on the ceiling. By then water has often been getting in for a while, which is why an early inspection is so much cheaper than fixing a damaged ceiling.
When something on your roof fails, you want it fixed once, not patched every winter. We find the actual cause of the problem before we touch anything, then repair it with materials that suit your roof.
You get photos of the problem and the finished repair, so you know exactly what you paid for.
Repairs make sense when the damage is limited. But if your roof has leaks in more than one spot, pointing failing along most of the ridges, or tiles that have gone porous and grown moss across whole sections, repairs alone will not hold for long. That is when a full restoration gives you far better value.
A restoration brings the whole roof back to sound condition in one job. We pressure clean the tiles, replace broken ones, rebed and repoint the ridges, fix valleys and flashings, then seal, prime and coat the roof in a colour that suits your home. It costs a fraction of a re-roof and adds years to the life of the roof you already have.
Not sure which option you need? That is exactly what the free inspection is for. You can also read more about our dedicated roof restoration service in Albion.
